September 21 (SeeNews) - Macedonia's real average net monthly wage increased 2.5% year-on-year in July, following a 1.4% increase in the previous month, data from the country's statistics office showed on Wednesday.
In nominal terms, the average net wage in Macedonia grew by 2.2% on the year, reaching 22,334 denars ($404.4/362.7 euro) in July.
The growth was mainly due to an increase of salaries in the sectors of wholesale and retail, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, and manufacturing.
On a monthly comparison basis, net wages grew by a real 1% and nominal 0.7% in July.
