November 12 (SeeNews) - Albania's central bank will auction 3.2 billion leks ($38.44 million/26.37 million euro) in two-year Treasury notes on Thursday, the Finance Ministry said.
The T-notes, offered by the Finance Ministry, bear an 8.45% coupon and carry an issue date of November 19 and mature on November 19, 2009. The Finance Ministry will release the results of the auction later this month.
At the previous auction held on October 16 the central bank sold 1.7 billion leks in two-year T-notes, down from the initially offered 3.2 billion leks. The issue yielded 8.6% and bears a 8.40% coupon paid semi-annually, equalling 71.4 million leks.
The central bank holds auctions of two-year T-notes every month. It is also holding weekly auctions of three-month T-bills and auctions six-month and 12-month T-bills twice a month. Every three months it holds auctions of three-year and five-year T-notes.
