November 23 (SeeNews) - Kosovo's trade deficit increased by 33.3% year-on-year to 355.8 million euro ($400.4 million) in October, the country's statistical office said.
Exports rose by 43.5% year-on-year to 72.6 million euro, while imports increased by 34.9% to 428.5 million euro in October, the statistical office said in a statement on Monday.
Kosovo's main export destinations in October were the U.S., Albania and North Macedonia. Base metals, various manufactured articles, and plastic and rubber products were Kosovo's main export items.
Mineral products, base metals and mechanical and electrical machines and devices made up the bulk of Kosovo's imports in October. Most of the imports originated in Turkey, Germany and China.
