August 29 (SeeNews) - Italian car seats maker Aunde will expand the capacity of its plant in the central Serbian city of Jagodina and will employ 400 new workers, the Jagodina city authorities said.
The works on the extension of Aunde's factory in Jagodina will begin in the second half of September as the company will sign a new supply contract with German car maker Mercedes, the president of the city council, Dragan Markovic, said as quoted in a press release on Monday.
Aunde opened its 3.0 million euro ($3.3 million) plant in Jagodina in 2014. The plant manufactures car seat systems for Fiat models, including the Fiat 500L which is manufactured in Serbia's Kragujevac, some 40 kilometres from Jagodina.
The Aunde Group, with its brands Aunde, Isringhausen and Esteban, operates 85 plants in 25 countries.
