February 25 (SeeNews) - Swedish home furnishing retailer IKEA on Thursday opened a store in the Slovenian capital Ljubljana, its first in Slovenia, it said.
The retailer also opened a collection point at the Ikona Center in Maribor where customers will be able to collect products ordered online, IKEA said in a statement.
The company has hired nearly 400 people as part of the investment worth 90 million euro ($110 million), in addition to more than 500 workers that were hired for the construction, it added.
The store, covering an area of 31,000 sq m, includes 52 exhibition spaces and offers over 9,500 products.
IKEA laid the foundation stone of its first store in Slovenia in October 2019.
