The move will expand IBM's software portfolio to offer products facilitating network infrastructure observability, connectivity, control and automation across hybrid cloud environments.
Pliant's solutions, available as both client-managed software and software-as-a-service, align with IBM's concept of building a product portfolio that makes IT tools and skills accessible to a wider range of developers and engineers.
This marks IBM’s second deal in 2024, with the company having made over 40 acquisitions since April 2020 to enhance its hybrid cloud and artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities.
Founded in 2017 by Vess Bakalov, Dimitar Blagoev and Matt Goldberg, Boston-headquartered Pliant automates, secures and transforms all business digital processes.
