June 23 (SeeNews) - Agricultural chemicals producer Galenika Fitofarmacija [BEL:FITO] was the most traded company among the blue-chip members on the Belgrade bourse on Friday, as share indices declined, bourse data showed.
A total of 4,508 shares in Galenika Fitofarmacija were traded in four transactions on Friday, generating a turnover of 11.8 million dinars, the highest among the blue chips. The company won 0.54% on Friday and closed at 2,620 dinars.
Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] led the blue-chip gainers' list on the Belgrade bourse on Friday, as it won 0.91% and closed at 665 dinars. A total of 2,235 shares in the company were traded in 121 deals, generating a turnover of 1.5 million dinars.
The blue-chip BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade bourse, edged down 0.08% to 705.79 points on Friday. On Thursday, the index rose 0.33% to 706.37.
The broader BELEXline, a free‐float market capitalisation weighted index, also declined 0.08% on Friday and closed at 1,533.65. The index increased 0.10% to 1,534.81 on Thursday.
Soybean processing company Sojaprotein [BEL:SJPT] paced the blue-chip decliners on Friday, as it lost 3.38% to 429 dinars. The company generated a share turnover of 39,081 dinars, as 91 of its shares changed hands.
The total stock trading turnover on the bourse rose to 76.9 million dinars ($707,401/632,688 euro) on Friday from 4.3 million dinars on Thursday, as 203 share transactions were carried out. Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the bourse came in at only 549,192 dinars.
In the period between June 19 and 23, BELEX15 and BELEXline lost 0.65% and 0.37%, respectively.
Industrial gases producer Messer Tehnogas [BEL:TGAS] led the blue-chip gainers' list this week, as it won 1.98% in the period. A total of 795 shares in the company changed hands, generating a turnover of 8.9 million dinars.
The total value of trading in shares on the Belgrade stock market in the period between June 19 and 23 was 106 million dinars, versus 257.2 million dinars in the previous week.
No Treasury bonds were traded in the week between June 19 and 23. Last week, Treasury bonds contributed 3.3 billion dinars to the total trading turnover of 3.6 billion dinars on the bourse.
