March 29 (SeeNews) - The Romanian arm of Turkish car maker Ford Otosan secured a syndicated credit facility of 435 million euro ($469.1 million), Banca Comerciala Romana (BCR), mandated lead arranger for the loan, said on Friday.
BCR contributed 84 million euro to the loan facility, which will finance ongoing engineering investment projects at Ford Otosan Romania's plant in the southern city of Craiova, the lender said in a press release.

"The financing will be used to support the production of the new Ford Puma, the Ford Transit Courier and Ford Tourneo Courier models, as well as the production of their all-electric versions," said BCR.
The loan syndicate comprises BCR, Banca Transilvania, Garantibank International NV, Garanti Bank SA, BNP Paribas Paris Bucharest Branch, Citibank Europe Plc Dublin Romania Branch, UniCredit Bank SA, Societe Generale and its Romanian branch, BRD.
Ford Motor Company and Turkish industrial conglomerate Koc Holding hold stakes of 41% each in Ford Otosan, while the remaining 18% is in free float on the stock exchange in Istanbul, according to the company's website.
