April 26 (SeeNews) - German storage heat pump manufacturer Envola intends to invest 50 million euro ($53.6 million) in a new plant in Bulgaria's coastal city of Burgas as part of plans for expansion in southern Europe, the local government said.
Envola will manufacture innovative heat pumps with a wide range of power levels at the new plant, Burgas municipality said in a statement earlier this week.
The plant will be located in Industrial and Logistic Park-Burgas and is expected to generate up to 200 new jobs when production reaches full capacity.
Envola, founded in 2019, develops and produces highly efficient and fully integrated systems for heating, cooling, ventilation and water heating with heat pumps with integrated storage tanks, its website shows. The company is funded by the European Union via the European Innovation Council, as well as Belgian venture capital firm Invest.BW.
