January 23 (SeeNews) - The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) said it is inviting expressions of interest from consultants to support Croatia's ministry for state property management and state-run centrе for enterprise restructuring and privatisation, CERP, in improving the governance of state-owned enterprises (SOEs).
The project foresees the development of a unified reporting and monitoring framework with the aim of strengthening public administration, corporate governance and business planning for SOEs in Croatia, and enhancing stakeholder capacity in applying new methodologies and practices, the lender said in a statement late on Friday.
The deadline for the submission of bids is February 9.
The assignment is expected to start in the second half of February - March 2017 and has an estimated overall duration of eight months.
According to European Commission estimates, employment in SOEs represents 12% of overall employment, while they generate 18% of the total turnover and account for 30% of total assets in Croatia.
