May 9 (SeeNews) - Croatian beverages producer and distributor Stanic Group has invested 12.8 million euro ($13.7 million) in the upgrade of its juice bottling factory in Jastrebarsko, near Zagreb, the Croatian government said.
The upgrade included a new production line for bottling juices, along with the modernisation of the factory building and the surrounding infrastructure, the government said in a press release following a visit of the prime minister Andrej Plenkovic to the family-owned business on Wednesday afternoon.
Thanks to this investment, the factory will create an additional 40 jobs, in addition to the existing workforce of 60 employees.
Stanic Beverages, the soft drinks unit of Stanic Group, plans to produce more than 100 million litres of soft drinks in Jastrebarsko and in its factory in Kresevo, in neighbouring Bosnia and Herzegovina.
