March 27 (SeeNews) - Croatian provider of advanced battery energy storage systems (BESS) Rimac Energy, a unit of Croatian electric carmaker Rimac Technology, said it has opened a facility in Witney, Oxfordshire, in the UK, to house its team in the UK and serve as a hub for technological innovation.
The Oxfordshire facility, which covers 1,850 square metres, will manufacture the company’s next-generation of BESS and will create more than 70 high-skilled jobs for engineers, technicians, and researchers, Rimac Energy said in a press release late on Tuesday.
"The UK has always been at the forefront of technological innovation, and we are thrilled to be expanding our footprint here," Wasim Sarwar Dilov, Rimac Energy’s director, said.
The Rimac Group, led by CEO Mate Rimac, is the majority shareholder of Bugatti Rimac, which produces the Bugatti Chiron, and the sole stakeholder of Rimac Technology.
