March 11 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian pharmaceuticals trader Sopharma Trading [BUL:SFT] said its consolidated pre-tax profit went up 5% on the year to 5.93 million levs ($3.31 million/3.03 million euro) in January.
The company's sales revenue grew by an annual 9% to some 158.9 million levs in the month under review, Sopharma Trading said in a stock exchange filing at the end of last month.
On a standalone basis, the company's revenue rose by 7% year-on-year to 119.8 million levs in January, while its pre-tax profit totalled some 4.11 million levs.
Sopharma Trading reported a standalone net profit of 32.8 million levs in 2023, up from 16.8 million levs a year earlier.
The company is a unit of Bulgarian pharmaceuticals producer Sopharma [BUL:SFA]. As of 1150 CET on Monday, shares in Sopharma Trading traded flat at 5.80 levs on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange.
