March 21 (SeeNews) - SOF Connect, the concessionaire of Bulgaria's Sofia Airport, is expanding its flight schedule to and from the Bulgarian capital with four new destinations this summer, including Riga in Latvia, Helsinki in Finland, the Greek island of Skiathos and Bristol in the U.K., it said on Thursday.
Starting May 2, Latvian flag carrier airBaltic will operate flights connecting Sofia and Riga three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, SOF Connect said in a press release.
On June 3, low-cost airline Norwegian Air will launch flights to Helsinki, which will run on Mondays and Fridays.
From June 1 to September 28, Irish low-cost carrier Ryanair will operate flights to the Greek island of Skiathos each Sunday. The airline will also fly to Bristol every Wednesday and Sunday.
Sofia Airport will serve a total of 78 regular and 28 charter routes this summer, operated by over 30 airlines, it said.
