September 21 (SeeNews) - The value of Bulgarian bank deposits by the non-government sector rose 9.6% on the year to 66.4 billion levs ($37.9 billion/34 million euro) as at end-August, accelerating from a 9.2% annual growth in July, the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) said on Wednesday.
Corporate deposits by the non-financial sector climbed by an annual 12.8% to 18.8 billion levs in August, after increasing by 10.2% in the previous month, BNB said in a monthly monetary statistics report.
Growth in household deposits, however, slowed down slightly to 6.9% year-on-year to 43.7 billion levs in August, compared to an increase of 7% in July.
