March 29 (SeeNews) - Bosnia's Serb Republic recorded a trade deficit of 269 million marka ($149 million/ 138 million euro) in the first two months of this year, compared with a trade gap of 88 million marka in the same period of 2023, the entity's statistical office said.
Exports decreased by 13.6% year-on-year, to 756.2 million marka, while imports rose 6.5% to 1.025 billion marka, the Serb Republic's Institute of Statistics said in a monthly report.
The Serb Republic's main export destinations in the period under review were Croatia and Serbia, absorbing 16.7% and 15% respectively of the entity's total exports.
The largest importers into the entity were Serbia and Italy, with shares of 15.7% and 15.2% of all imports, respectively.
The Serb Republic is one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other entity is the Federation.
