April 22 (SeeNews) - Bosnia's Serb Republic recorded a trade deficit of 505 million marka ($ 275 million/258 million euro) in the first three months of this year, compared with a trade gap of 332 million marka in the same period of 2023, the entity's statistical office said on Monday.
Exports decreased by 12.8% year-on-year, to 1.180 billion marka, while imports rose 4.1% to 1.685 billion marka, the Serb Republic's Institute of Statistics said in a monthly report.
The Serb Republic's main export destinations in the period under review were Croatia and Serbia, absorbing 16.9% and 14.8% respectively of the entity's total exports.
The largest importers into the entity were Serbia and Italy, with shares of 15.5% and 15.3% of all imports, respectively.
The Serb Republic is one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other entity is the Federation.
