BANJA LUKA (Bosnia and Herzegovina), November 22 (SeeNews) – Consumer prices in Bosnia's Serb Republic fell 0.7% on the year in October, after dropping 1.2% in September, the entity's statistics office said on Tuesday.
Month-on-month, the Serb Republic's consumer price index (CPI) rose 1.4% in October after edging up 0.1% in September, the office said in a statement.
On a monthly comparison basis, housing costs increased 11.1%, clothing and footwear 1.9%, transport 0.6%, alcoholic beverages and tobacco edged up 0.4%, while health care costs rose 0.3%.
Prices of transport, communications, education, and restaurant and hotel services remained unchanged.
At the same time, the price of food and non-alcoholic beverages fell 0.3%, other goods and services edged down 0.4% and recreation and culture costs slipped 0.1%.
In 2015, the Serb Republic reported an average annual deflation of 1.4%, following 1.2% deflation a year earlier.
The Serb Republic is one of the two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Federation.
