April 22 (SeeNews) - The consumer price index (CPI) of Bosnia's Federation rose 0.9% on the year in March, following an increase of 1.1% in February, the Federation's statistical office said.
On a monthly comparison basis, the Federation's CPI added 0.2% in March, after an increase of 0.6% in February, the entity's statistical office said in a monthly report on Friday.
The average consumer prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages, which have the biggest weight in the consumer basket, rose 0.1% on the year in March and prices of housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels fell 3.0%. However, healthcare costs went up 3.8%, prices of hotels and restaurants increased 9.8% and prices of miscellaneous goods and services rose 7.0% compared to March 2023.
In 2023, the average consumer prices slowed down to 5.1% on the year, from 14.9% in 2022.
The Federation is one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
