March 19 (SeeNews) - Bosnia’s state-controlled BH Telecom [SAJ:BHTS] said on Tuesday its net profit fell 8.1% year-on-year to 46.6 million marka ($25.9 million/23.8 million euro) in 2023.
Total revenue rose 4% on the year to 530.5 million marka in the year under review, BH Telecom said in its annual financial statement filed with the Sarajevo Stock Exchange.
The telco's operating costs rose 6.4% year-on-year in 2023, to 477.8 million marka.
BH Telecom's shares closed 0.19% higher at 13.03 marka on the Sarajevo bourse on Tuesday.
BH Telecom is the largest of three telecommunications companies operating in Bosnia, which comprises two autonomous entities, the Federation and the Serb Republic.
BH Telecom is based in Bosnia's capital Sarajevo and has its customers mainly in the Federation. The company offers fixed and mobile voice services and Internet access.
The other two Bosnian telcos are HT Mostar, which is active in the Federation, and Telekom Srpske which operates in the Serb Republic.
