SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), July 30 (SeeNews) – Bosnian telecommunications company HT Mostar [SAJ:HTKM] pared its net loss to 2.2 million marka ($1.3 million/1.1 million euro) in the first half of 2021, from 3.5 million marka in the same period last year, it said.
The company's operating revenue added 1.9% to 89.7 million marka in the first half of 2021, while operating costs edged down 0.8% to 90.6 million marka, Hrvatske Telekomunikacije Mostar (HT Mostar) said in a filing with the Sarajevo Stock Exchange on Thursday.
The telco's operating loss narrowed to 958,711 marka in the six months under review, from 3.4 million marka in the first half of 2020.
The company reported 384,770 marka profit from financial activities in the January-June period, down from 389,276 marka in the like period of 2020.
HT Mostar is the smallest of three telecommunications companies operating in Bosnia, which is made up of two autonomous entities - the Federation and the Serb Republic.
The government of Bosnia's Federation entity owns 50.1% of HT Mostar, Croatian telecommunications operator Hrvatski Telekom (HT) holds a 39.1% stake and Croatian postal operator Hrvatske Poste owns 5.23%. The remainder belongs to smaller shareholders, bourse data showed on July 30.
HT Mostar is based in the southern city of Mostar and has its customers mainly in the Federation.
The other two Bosnian telecoms are BH Telecom, which is active in the Federation, and Telekom Srpske which operates in the Serb Republic.
