May 7 (SeeNews) - The insurance companies operating in Bosnia and Herzegovina posted gross written premiums (GWPs) of 259.4 million marka ($142.8 million/132.6 million euro) in the first three months of the year, up 13.1% compared with the same period of 2023, the country's insurance agency said.
Non-life insurance premiums increased by 15.9% year-on-year to 209.6 million marka in the January-March period, while premiums in the life insurance segment went up 2.7% to 49.8 million marka, according to figures published on the website of Bosnia's insurance agency.
ASA Central Osiguranje was the biggest insurer in the period under review in terms of GWPs, with premiums reaching 29 million marka, followed by Adriatic Osiguranje with 25.1 million marka and Triglav Osiguranje with 21 million marka.
The insurance agency's report comprises data of 25 insurance companies.
