April 12 (SeeNews) - The blue-chip BELEX15 index of the Belgrade Stock Exchange closed 0.68% higher at 1,009.91 points on Friday, rising for a sixth straight day, as Aerodrom Nikola Tesla [BEL:AERO] led the blue-chip gainers, bourse data showed.
Aerodrom closed 2.69% higher at 1,950 dinars. A total of 27,520 Aerodrom shares changed hands generating the day's largest turnover of 53.7 million dinars.
At the same time, cookware maker Metalac [BEL:MTLC] paced the blue-chip decliners, shedding 1.71% to 1,720 dinars.
The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index rose 0.27% to 2,176.75 points.
Total turnover on the Belgrade bourse soared to 360.2 million dinars ($3.3 million/3.1 million euro) on Friday from 26.3 million dinars on Thursday. Trading in Treasury bonds accounted for 302 million dinars of Friday's turnover.
Between April 8 and April 12 the BELEX15 rose 2.01% while the BELEXline increased 1.50%. Total trading turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange rose to 536.6 million dinars this week, from 286.5 million dinars last week.
