January 9 (SeeNews) - Croatian tourism company Arenaturist [ZSE:ARNT-R-A] led the gainers among the blue chips on the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) on Monday, bourse data showed.
Arenaturist's shares closed 3.24% higher at 505.92 kuna ($70.5/66.8 euro), as 642 shares changed hands.
Hotel operator Valamar Riviera [ZSE:RIVP-R-A] generated the highest trading turnover of 919,146.12 kuna. The company's shares closed 2.99% up at 36.91 kuna.
Port operator Luka Rijeka [ZSE:LKRI-R-A] led the blue-chip decliners, as its share price fell 4.31% to 49.33 kuna.
The bourse's total trading turnover fell to 5.6 million kuna on Monday from 17.96 million kuna on Thursday. The bourse was closed on Friday due to a public holiday.
The 25-share benchmark CROBEX index of the ZSE gained 0.29% to 2,036.13 points, after gaining 0.36% on Thursday. CROBEX is at its highest level since August 31, 2011, when it closed at 2,033.92.
The narrower of the bourse's two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the leading companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, increased 0.39% to 1,176.31 points after decreasing 0.05% in the previous trading session.
The fixed-income CROBIS index fell by 0.05% to 109.0616 points.
