TIRANA (Albania), November 27 (SeeNews) – The Albanian authorities issued 262 building permits in the third quarter of 2020, down 15% year-on-year, the national statistical office, INSTAT, said on Friday.
Of these, 166 permits were issued for the construction of residential buildings, INSTAT said in a quarterly report.
The estimated value of the approved construction projects in the period under review totalled 19.5 billion leks ($187.7 million/157.2 million euro), compared with 25.8 billion leks in the third quarter of 2019.
The highest number of permits, 68, were issued for buildings in the capital Tirana, followed by 49 in the port city of Durres.
