March 29 (SeeNews) - Air Montenegro, the successor of flag carrier Montenegro Airlines, said it welcomed its millionth passenger since starting regular commercial operations under its new name in June 2021.
The Montenegrin government established the new national air carrier to replace troubled Montenegro Airlines, which will be liquidated.
The airline carried 480,000 passengers in 2023, up 30% on the previous year. It expects to carry about 650,000 passengers in 2024. It achieved a profit of 2 million euro ($2.2 million) last year, despite challenges at operational level.
