CHISINAU (Moldova), February 25 (SeeNews) – U.S.-based airline software retailing provider Radixx said it has signed a multi-year technology agreement with flag carrier Air Moldova aimed to increase the airline's sales and enhance customer experience.
Under the agreement, Air Moldova will utilize Radixx’ merchandizing, distribution, and fulfillment solutions to expand into new revenue streams and power future growth, Radixx said in a press release on Wednesday.
Later this year, Air Moldova will go live on the Radixx Res cloud-hosted passenger service system (PSS) to deliver flights and value-adding ancillaries to its travelers.
As part of its post-COVID-19 recovery and growth plan, Air Moldova will also implement the Radixx Go departure services suite of products to create a safe and efficient airport experience. With mobile devices for ground agents and self-service options for travelers, Radixx Go will streamline existing airport operations, resulting in shorter queues in the airport and a more enjoyable and seamless travel experience.
The airline’s migration to Radixx is expected to bring significant savings in annual technology operating expenses, Radixx noted, without disclosing financial details of the agreement.
"We’ve chosen Radixx because of the advanced retailing opportunities its system provides across all customer touchpoints," Air Moldova director general Alexander Ceban said.
Founded in 1993, Radixx is part of U.S.-based software and technology company group Sabre.
State-owned Air Moldova was established in 1993 and currently operates direct flights to Moscow, St. Petersburg, Krasnodar, Tel Aviv, Istanbul, Antalya, London, Dublin, Frankfurt, Paris, Nice, Lisbon, Romе, Milan, Verona, Thessaloniki, Heraklion and Sharm el Sheik.
