April 25 (SeeNews) - The Croatian central bank governor Boris Vujcic said on Thursday that Croatia’s economic growth this year may exceed the projected 3.2% due to a stronger-than-expected increase in the first quarter, local media reported.
"That growth is considerably higher than that of our trading partners, and we expect their economies to also start recovering more strongly," Vujcic told a financial market conference in Opatija, state TV broadcaster HRT reported.
Croatia’s real economic growth in 2023 was 3.1%, the state statistics office said earlier this week.
Vujcic also said that he expects annual inflation rate to keep falling and that it might reach the 2% target this summer.
