The combined costs of the companies in the Wholesale trade, except of motor vehicles and motorcycles industry reached RON 251,097,449,527 in 2016, up by 4.13% year-on-year.
The industry's total revenue makes up 28.24% to the country's Gross domestic product (GDP) in 2016, compared to 29.08% for 2015 and 27.92% in 2014.
A total of 291,427 people were employed in the Wholesale trade, except of motor vehicles and motorcycles industry in 2016, compared to 279,449 in 2015 and 271,580 in 2014.
Most of the companies in the industry are based in Bucharest, followed by Ilfov and Bihor.
