For the first time the two companies enter together the logistics market for individuals from and to Bulgaria
The Bulgarian transport and logistics company Transpress and one of Europe’s leading logistics companies – DACHSER, are expanding their cooperation by entering for the first time together the shipments market for individuals. Thus far, their mutual operations have been focused entirely on businesses customers, but the strategy has been revised after the changes in the economic environment due to the COVID-19 pandemic with the dynamic development of e-commerce and the necessity of working from home. Thus, in January the two companies started the trial period in offering delivery services from companies in Europe to individuals in Bulgaria and from Bulgarian companies to individuals in Europe. Based on the good achievements and high customer demand the official launch of the project in the network is planned for June 2021.
"The changed situation has encouraged us to be flexible and to offer new workable solutions that may help establish a successful relationship between businesses and people. We believe we can be especially useful in the niche B2C market of larger shipments, such as furniture and sports equipment”, explains Veselin Stoyanov, founder and manager of Transpress.
Preliminary research and analysis show that the market fails to provide adequate services in the segment of larger than standard courier shipments over 31.5 kg to individuals. By combining the capacity and expertise of DACHSER and Transpress, users can now get better terms of service, faster delivery as well as additional options, such as delivery above ground level.

Deliveries for individuals is another step in the development of the successful cooperation between DACHSER and Transpress, which started in 2008. Transpress manages DACHSER’s operations in Bulgaria as well as in Macedonia, Albania, and Kosovo. Thus, now customers in our country can count on fast deliveries to new destinations, such as Belarus and Ukraine, for example. Regular deliveries to the Baltic region and Scandinavia, where the two companies have together established themselves as a market leader, continue to be maintained.
