August 16 (SeeNews) - The share indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) fell on Friday, while a block transaction in blue-chip Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT] dominated the daily turnover, bourse data showed.
ZSE reopened for trading on Friday after it was closed on Thursday for Assumption Day.
A total of 13,000 Hrvatski Telekom's (HT) shares changed hands in a single block transaction at 158.5 kuna apiece, generating 2.06 million kuna in turnover on Friday.
Outside the block deals, HT shares fell 0.32% to 158 kuna in a volume of 2,399 units.
Tourism holding company Valamar Riviera [ZSE:RIVP] led the blue-chip losers for a second consecutive session, dropping 2.36% to 37.2 kuna on Friday and generating the highest turnover of 748,400 kuna among the blue chips outside block transactions. Valamar fell 0.78% on Wednesday.
Diversified company Atlantic Grupa led the blue-chip gainers, advancing 0.83% to 1,220 kuna in a volume of 45 shares.
ZSE's total trading turnover fell to 7.3 million kuna ($1.1 million/988,000 euro) on Friday, from 9.0 million kuna on Wednesday.
The 25-share benchmark index CROBEX shed 0.41% to 1,882.97 on Friday after advancing 0.26% in the previous trading session.
The narrower of the ZSE's two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the leading companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, declined 0.37% to 1,095.95 after edging down 0.02% on Wednesday.
The fixed-income CROBIS index inched down 0.04% to 116.05 on Friday after adding 0.08% on Wednesday.
