October 19 (SeeNews) - The Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) and Estonia's Funderbeam Ventures OU have registered their joint limited liability company Funderbeam South-East Europe with the Zagreb Commercial Court, according to a ZSE announcement.
The ZSE holds a 20% stake in the company's share capital while the remainder is in the hands of Funderbeam Ventures OU, ZSE said in a filing on Tuesday.
The new company, based in Zagreb, will provide cross-border services to investors and startups, ZSE said earlier.
Funderbeam was created a year ago. Behind the platform, which allows trading stock in startups based on blockchain technology, stands Skype co-founder Jaan Tallinn.
In order to use Funderbeam's services, startups will need to have a leading investor, a sort of mentor and negotiator familiar with financial market operations.
The project is part of ZSE's long-term strategy to support companies in all stages of their development.
