November 29 (SeeNews) - Diversified group Zarneni Hrani Bulgaria [BUL:T43] said on Friday that its consolidated net profit excluding minority interest rose to 3.7 million levs ($2.1 million/1.9 euro) in the first nine months, from 2.6 million levs in the like period of 2018.
Zarneni Hrani Bulgaria managed to increase its net profit even though its January-September operating revenue fell to 57.9 million levs from 67.6 million levs, the company said in an interim financial statement.
Operating expenses decreased to 53.7 million levs in the review period from 64.3 million levs the year before, as cost of goods sold dropped to 12.6 million levs from 18.7 million levs.
Zarneni Hrani Bulgaria's assets edged down to 396.5 million levs at the end of September from 400.9 million levs a year earlier.
The company consolidates the results of 20 subsidiaries active in various sectors of the economy.
