June 29 (SeeNews) - The Zagreb Stock Exchange said on Wednesday it will halve its equity capital, to 23.18 million kuna ($3.2 million/3.1 million euro) by merging two existing shares into one new share.
The capital decrease will be registered with the depositary agency SKDD on July 5, the bourse said in a statement. It did not elaborate on the reason for the capital decrease.
The ZSE shareholders approved the capital reduction on June 14. Currently, the ZSE capital of 46.4 million kuna is divided into 4,635,700 shares with a nominal value of 10 kuna each.
Following the capital decrease, the bourse's capital will be divided into 2,317,850 shares of 10 kuna in par value each.
The bourse's shares last traded on the ZSE on June 24, ending 4.55% higher at 11.50 kuna.
