October 14 (SeeNews) - The share indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) gained ground on Wednesday, with telecommunications equipment manufacturer Ericsson Nikola Tesla [ZSE:ERNT] pacing the blue-chip winners.
Ericsson Nikola Tesla's shares rose 2.16% to a close of 1,420 kuna.
Telecommunication services provider Optima Telekom [ZSE:OPTE] paced the blue-chip losers. Its share price fell 1.74% to 4.52 kuna.
Four of the ten blue-chip companies on the ZSE rose on Friday, three fell, and three closed flat.
Food producer Podravka [ZSE:PODR] generated the largest single turnover among the blue chips for the day - of 583,400 kuna, with its stocks gaining 0.67% to close at 449 kuna.
The ZSE's total trading turnover declined to 5.0 million kuna ($776,000/660,000 euro) from 8.4 million kuna on Tuesday.
The bourse's 25-share benchmark CROBEX index edged up 0.04% to 1,611.72 on Wednesday after falling 0.30% on Tuesday.
The narrower of the ZSE's two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the leading companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, rose 0.20% to 1,006.70 after dropping 0.20% on Tuesday.
