December 23 (SeeNews) - The Croatian share indices staged a fragile recovery on Wednesday in sharply lower total daily turnover, bourse data indicated.
The 25-share benchmark CROBEX index of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) added 0.49% to 1,655.77 points after falling 0.55% on Tuesday.
The narrower of the bourse's two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the leading companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, closed up 0.43% at 979.89.
ZSE's total turnover dropped to 5.5 million kuna ($782,000/719,000 euro) from 32.7 million kuna on Tuesday.
Hotel operator Valamar Riviera [ZSE:RIVP-R-A] generated the session's biggest turnover of 1.4 million kuna, closing down 0.81% at 23.36 kuna.
Fertilizer maker Petrokemija [ZSE:PTKM-R-A] led the CROBEX decliners, shedding 10.93% to 12.47 kuna.
Shipping firm Atlantska Plovidba [ZSE:ATPL-R-A] led the CROBEX gainers, advancing 4.26% to 119.9 kuna.
The fixed-income CROBIS index was down 0.11% at 104.9556 points.
The ZSE will be closed on December 24 and 25 for the Christmas holidays.
