December 28 (SeeNews) - The Croatian share indices gained ground on Monday amidst a sharp rise in total daily turnover, bourse data indicated.
The 25-share benchmark CROBEX index of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) added 1.21% to 1,675.88 points after gaining 0.49% on Wednesday.
The ZSE was closed on December 24 and 25 for the Christmas holidays.
The narrower of the bourse's two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the leading companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, closed up 1.06% at 990.31.
ZSE's total turnover jumped to 13.2 million kuna ($1.9 million/1.7 million euro) from 5.5 million kuna on Wednesday.
Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT-R-A] generated the session's biggest turnover of 2.2 million kuna, closing up 2.49% at 143.9 kuna.
Radio broadcasting equipment maker RIZ Odasiljaci [ZSE:RIZO-R-A] led the CROBEX decliners, shedding 3.98% to 110.4 kuna.
Telco Optima Telekom [ZSE:OPTE-R-A] led the CROBEX gainers, advancing 14.55% to 1.89 kuna.
The fixed-income CROBIS index was down 0.12% at 104.8254 points.
