March 20 (SeeNews) - The Croatian stock indices closed higher on Thursday as total daily turnover rose, bourse data indicated.
The 22-share benchmark CROBEX index of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) added 0.38% to 1,771.20 after closing up 0.05% on Wednesday.
The narrower of the bourse's two blue-chip stock indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the 10 leading companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, rose 0.46% to 984.58.
The CROX index, which tracks the eight most traded stocks on the ZSE and is calculated by the Vienna bourse, gained 0.42% in euro terms to 868.05.
The bourse's total turnover rose to 12.4 million kuna ($2.2 million/1.6 million euro) from 11.4 million kuna on Wednesday.
Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT-R-A] posted the session's highest turnover of 2.4 million kuna. The stock rose 1.38% to 165.46 kuna.
Construction company Tehnika [ZSE:THNK-R-A] paced the CROBEX risers, adding 10.05% to 365 kuna.
Lender Zagrebacka Banka [ZSE:ZABA-R-A] led the CROBEX decliners, dropping 1.56% to 27.78 kuna.
The fixed-income CROBIS index ended down 0.03% at 101.2078 points.
