April 22 (SeeNews) - The share indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) closed higher on Thursday, with shipping company Jadroplov [ZSE:JDPL] posting the biggest gains, bourse data showed.
Jadroplov appreciated 13.33% to 23.80 kuna on Thursday, ZSE data showed.
Last week, the company completed a share capital reduction to 16.37 million kuna from 81.83 million kuna, cutting the nominal value of its shares to 10 kuna from 50 kuna. Jadroplov plans to use the freed capital to partially cover its accumulated loss.
In the losers' department, hotel operator Ilirija [ZSE:ILRA] led the pack. Its shares shed 7.69% to 150.00 kuna.
Consumer goods distributor Atlantic Grupa [ZSE:ATGR] generated the highest turnover among the blue-chip companies on Thursday, of 1.035 million kuna ($165,074/137,300 euro), closing flat at 1.54 kuna.
The ZSE's 25-share benchmark CROBEX index picked 0.30%, closing at 1.883,42 points on Thursday, after edging down 0.09% the previous trading day.
The narrower of the ZSE's two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the leading companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, closed up 0.16% at 1,173.71 points on Thursday, after sliding 0.28% on Wednesday.
