January 14 (SeeNews) - The main equity index of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) rose further on Friday to a fresh record-high level in almost five years, on gains in food and pharmaceuticals producer Podravka [ZSE:PODR], electrical equipment manufacturer Koncar [ZSE:KOEI] and ICT solutions provider Ericsson Nikola Tesla [ZSE:ERNT], bourse data showed.
The 21-share blue-chip CROBEX index added 0.62% to end at 2,171.46, its highest level since February 2017, according to ZSE data. It has been rising since December 21.
The narrower CROBEX10 index which is tracking the top ten companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, surged 0.96% to end at 1,320.21 points.
Podravka was the most liquid stock with a turnover of 3.5 million kuna ($532,000/465,000 euro). Its share price rose 4.55% to finish at 690 kuna.
Preferred shares of diversified holding company Adris [ZSE:ADRS2] fell 1.61% to end at 428 kuna in a turnover of 1.7 million kuna.
In regular trading, index heavyweight Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT] dipped 0.27% to 185 kuna in a turnover of 912,000 kuna.
In lower turnovers, the shares of Koncar increased 4.26% to 980 kuna and the shares of Ericsson Nikola Tesla advanced 1.07% to 1,890 kuna.
ZSE's total turnover doubled to 13.3 million kuna on Friday, from 6.6 million kuna on Thursday, lifted by a 2.0 million kuna block trading with shares of Hrvatski Telekom.
