June 7 (SeeNews) - The World Bank on Wednesday said that it expects Romania's economy to grow by 2.6% in 2023, keeping unchanged its previous forecasts made in January and April.
In 2024, the country's economy is expected to grow by 3.9%, as much as forecast in April and 0.3 percentage points lower than the January projection, the World Bank said in its June 2023 Global Economic Prospects.
In 2025, Romania's gross domestic product (GPD) growth will accelerate to 4.1%, according to the international lender's forecast.
The country's inflation is expected to slow down to 10% in 2023 and ease further to 5.3% in 2024.
Romania's economic output grew by 2.3% in the first quarter, according to flash estimates made by the country's statistical office.
