March 17 (SeeNews) - The World Bank said it has approved a new country partnership framework with Albania for the period 2023-2027, which has an indicative financial envelope of $900 million ($846.2 million euro).
The five-year framework will focus on improving the country's labour market, reinforcing and enhancing the use of human capital and increasing resilience to natural disasters and other shocks while leveraging digitalization and enhancing inclusion, the World Bank said in a press release on Thursday.
"The strategy aims to help the country recover quickly and transform into a more robust, equitable, resilient, and greener economy, as well as healthier and more productive lives for the Albanian people," the World Bank said.
The global lender added that it has recently approved four new projects worth a total of $355 million intended to achieve greener and more resilient growth and greater inclusion in Albania. The projects concern rehabilitation of bridges, improving innovation in agriculture, helping digitalization of public services and strengthening the resilience of Albania's economy and environmental sustainability.
