June 9 (SeeNews) - Hungarian low-cost carrier Wizz Air said on Friday that on December 18 it will start operating direct flights three times a week between Bulgaria's capital Sofia and Tirana, the capital of Albania.
Flights on the route will be operated on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, the airline said in a press release.
With this addition, Wizz Air will expand its services to over 60 destinations to and from Bulgaria, spanning 22 countries, according to the company's website.
At the end of April, the low-cost carrier started operating direct flights twice a week between Sofia and Armenia's capital Yerevan.
Wizz Air entered the Bulgarian market in 2005. It currently operates flights from Sofia, Burgas, Varna and Plovdiv.
