August 23 (SeeNews) - Hungarian low-cost carrier Wizz Air said on Friday it plans to launch two new routes from London - to Romania's capital Bucharest and central city of Sibiu on November 23.
Flights will be operated from London Southend Airport, Wizz Air said in a press release.
The routes were added following an agreement signed between the airport's operator Stobart Group and Wizz Air.
Earlier this month, Wizz Air said it plans to launch a route from Bucharest to Edinburgh in Scotland on November.
In June, Wizz Air launched a new route from Suceava to Munich in Germany.
In 2018, Wizz carried more than 8.3 million passengers on its low fare routes to and from Romania, which represents a 14% growth year on year.
Wizz Air now offers 146 routes to 20 countries from ten airports in Romania.
