SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), August 14 (SeeNews) – Hungarian low-cost carier Wizz Air is downsizing its winter operations out of Bosnia's Tuzla by turning its services from the city airport to London Luton, Bratislava and Nuremberg to seasonal summer flights only, data from its website shows.
Wizz Air will suspend the winter flights between Tuzla and the three destinations from November 1, flight data showed.
The airline started operating the Bratislava and Nuremberg service from Tuzla in March this year, while London Luton was added in October last year.
Also in March, Wizz Air deployed a second aircraft at its base at Bosnia's Tuzla airport. "As Bosnia and Herzegovina’s largest airline, we continue expanding our ever-growing network, bringing truly affordable opportunities for our passengers and creating more local jobs," the air carrier said at the time.
In 2016, the company handled some 310,000 passengers to and from Tuzla, supporting around 230 local jobs.
