SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), January 12 (SeeNews) – Hungarian low-cost air carrier Wizz Air said on Friday it carried 563,700 passengers to and from Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2017, up by a sharp 73.9% from 2016.
WizzAir carried 544,246 passengers to and from its base in Tuzla last year, while the remaining 19,430 passengers were flown on its Budapest-Sarajevo service, a spokesperson for the company said in response to a SeeNews inquiry.
The airline began offering flights from Sarajevo on April 5 last year.
Wizz Air offers 15 services to seven countries from Bosnia's Tuzla based airport, and flights to Budapest from Sarajevo.
