TIRANA (Albania), October 31 (SeeNews) – Hungarian low-cost carrier Wizz Air launched flights from the German city of Dortmund to Albania's capital Tirana, Tirana International Airport (TIA) said.
Wizz Air's new route from Dortmund will be serviced two times a week - on Tuesdays and Saturdays, TIA said in a press release on Tuesday.
“Wizz Air has expanded its services at Tirana International Airport in the last two years with three new destinations: Budapest, London and, now, Dortmund,” TIA’s chief executive officer Rolf Castro-Vasquez said, adding that other destinations will be coming soon.
The launch of the Dortmund flight by Wizz Air comes after the Hungarian carrier started in April a low-fare service connecting Tirana and London Luton.
