October 13 (SeeNews) - Serbia's autonomous province of Vojvodina said it has recorded a budget surplus of 3.946 billion dinars ($39.1 million/33.1 million euro) for the first half of 2017.
The current revenue amounted to 36.528 billion dinars, or 57.38% of the annual plan, while expenditure stood at 27.189 billion dinars, or 42.71% of the target, the Vojvodina province's parliament said in a statement on Thursday.
The province has projected a budget deficit of 3.836 billion dinars for the entire year.
The budget balance of Serbia for the first half of 2017 showed a surplus of 33.2 billion dinars, or 80 billion dinars higher than planned, the country's finance minister Dusan Vujovic said in July.
In the eight months through August, Serbia's budget surplus widened to 66.5 billion dinars.
