November 16 (SeeNews) - The Romanian unit of British telecommunications group Vodafone said on Friday that its revenue fell 2.3% on the year in the quarter ended September 30, to 195.1 million euro ($231 million).
The customer base reached 10.798 million at the end of September, Vodafone Romania said in a press release.
"This quarter, we marked a new stage in our journey to become a convergent operator by launching our innovative Vodafone TV service as well as new fixed and mobile service offers," Vodafone Romania CEO Murielle Lorilloux said.
In the previous quarter that ended on June 30, Vodafone Romania's revenue fell 1.2% on the year to 189.7 million euro.
In fiscal year 2019/2020, Vodafone Romania posted 905 million euro in revenues, compared to 715 million euro in the previous year.
Vodafone Romania is a subsidiary of Vodafone Group.
The group has mobile operations in 21 countries, partners with mobile networks in 48 more, and has fixed broadband operations in 19 markets.
