March 15 (SeeNews) - Italy's Vittoria Shipyard will build two patrol boats for Croatian police under a 6.5 million euro ($7.1 million) deal, Croatian media reported.
The Italian company won the deal in a public tender called in May 2021, daily Glas Istre reported on Monday.
The two-engine aluminium vessels will be 21.5 metres long and will have a maximum speed of 31 knots.
The deal will be partly financed by Frontex, the European border and coast guard agency.
Vittoria Shipyard has built 11 vessels of different types for Croatia since 2004.
